Refund policy

At 4x4Zone, we want you to be confident in your purchase. This policy outlines when returns, exchanges, and refunds are available.

Returns for Change of Mind

If you change your mind about a purchase, you may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused and in original condition

  • The item must be returned in original packaging

  • Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) must be provided

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns.

Once the returned item is received and inspected, we will issue either:

  • A refund to the original payment method, or

  • store credit, depending on the circumstances.

Shipping charges from the original order are non-refundable.

Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the product.

In accordance with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act, you may be entitled to:

  • A repair

  • A replacement

  • A full refund

If the item is confirmed faulty or incorrect, we will cover the return shipping cost.

Please email us with:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photos of the product (if applicable)

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Clearance or final sale items

  • Products that have been used, installed, or modified

  • Items returned without original packaging

How to Start a Return

Include your order number and the item(s) you wish to return.

If your return is approved, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your item.

Items returned without prior approval may not be accepted.

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the outcome.

If approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Please note that banks or payment providers may take additional time to process the refund.

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange an item, the fastest way is to:

  1. Request a return for the original item

  2. Place a new order for the replacement item
